No it is more about how important education is especially for the poor.  Bait = explicit = fact Deeper meaning = implicit=opinion Junior has entered a knew school and he picked a fist-fight with the biggest boy in Rear-den.  The chapter is about not knowing what to do after his fist fight. standing up for native Americans,black people and buffalo.  My opinion is that he will not be bullied because he is the only Indian and smallest kid in rear-den.  Hopefully he will not get bullied in the next chapters
